This is a partnership between the Basalt Public Arts Commission (BPAC) and the Basalt Regional Library.
BPAC (www.BasaltPublicArtsCommission.com) has commissioned four ice sculptures for the winter of 2022 to be placed around town. This year’s theme is Objects of Nature. Enjoy scouting out the snowflake, pinecone, trout and Colorado bluebird at locations downtown and in Willits Town Center.
Kid’s Art Activity — a kid’s art activity 'grab-and-go' kit related to the ice sculptures will be available at the Basalt Regional Library beginning on January 15th (available while supplies last).
Live Ice Sculpting — there will be a live ice sculpting demonstration at Arbaney Park the morning of Sunday, January 16th.
• Saturday, January 15 — Ice sculptures will be installed at Alpine Bank and Basalt Regional Library.
